we have been in barcelona for a few days and nights now, working our way through crowds of europeans and street traffic. it´s definitely busier than the other cities we visited, everyone´s prime vacation spot.
before the pics here, however, there are still earlier ones. so here ya go.

more madrid, towards the end is our day in toledo, where we had to jump in doorways so as not to get hit by delivery trucks buzzing by on the tiny medieval sized roads. there were too many things to take pictures of, from buildings and statues to lauren eating perritos calientes con chocolate, really, no one wants to see these things. headed back to madrid, we did find out the importance of assigned seats on buses, however. people here take their designated seats very seriously. four people had to get up and move around to sit in their proper seat. who knew this was so important?
our final days in madrid, we went out to this blue-lit club with a salsa-dancing mexican man from our hostel, where we actually had a good time. there was no trance music playing, however, but lots of favorite hits, like holla back, and that terrible (funny) blackeyedpeas song. you know which one. no pics from there, unfortunately.

here are some pics from madrid, although there are many more i didn´t put up yet. the internet is slow moving here it seems.



this was our first hostel view, balconies and pretty windows all over madrid.



we basically spent all of our time in madrid wandering around, looking at the sculptures and architecture, sitting in parks while tiny spanish kids played soccer all around us.

we just arrived in granada yesterday night from madrid, went out with some locals to a really terrible bar\discoteque, and tried to fend off marriage proposals. (one of the fellas took a liking to lauren, he´s a real winner, truly. truly a slimeball.)
tomorrow we will explore the city a little more, try the sangria and see the alhambra

leaing on monday evening, arriving disheveled and a bit dazed tuesday morning, lauren and i found ourselves in first the frankfurt airport, then clear skies to madrid. we walked, got lost and found ourselves tuesday and now it is just shy of ten o clock, my feet are already ready to call it a night. so a quick day, not too bad for a first night. i realized how poor my spanish really is, but the locals were sweet enough to humour me and not make me feel like a complete fool. and tomorrow, more of the same. we will be in madrid for at least a week, then onto more southern parts of the country. beaches and other to do´s.
